COVERING TV STATIONS IN SOUTHWESTERN BC

"Breakfast Television"

Taken from 7/22/2002, the first day of Citytv and Breakfast Television. The next day, the "BT" and the Citytv logos on the screen traded spaces. The "BT House", as they call it, was re-arranged a bit several days later.

The final image on the open titles, which involved quite a number of clock towers around the city. The hosts, Fiona Forbes and Michael Eckford. It's actually the Vancouver skyline on the L3. The ticker at the bottom of the screen contains traffic information (the font on the ticker was changed a few days later). And the time/temp are arranged in the classic "BT Toronto" style, although BT Toronto doesn't go by this style anymore. Simi Sara in the CityPulse newsroom, providing news and weather updates. Here you can probably see the skyline on the L3 a bit better (albeit slightly), with the Science World "ball" at the very right. Today's forecast, supered on a live shot of the city. (A few days later a graphic was added underneath "Today".) The forecast map, which is still pretty much the same from the Global News era. The 5 Day forecast, still using the weather icons from the Global era. Mike, Fiona and Simi chatting via the TV. The bedroom part of the "BT House". Right there on the bed with Mike and Fiona is Moses Znaimer, who talked about his attempt over the last 30 years to bring Citytv to Vancouver. Jeremy Dunn with the live eye. He's checking out the preparation for the Molson Indy (I think...). The part of the set where they have guests play music, or maybe some other things which require a lot of space, eg. a dragon dance demonstration. Michael Eckford and Moses Znaimer at the computer area, with the kitchen in the background. The kitchen set, which is also used for the station's cooking show "CityCooks", which debuted in 9/2002. Happenings around town supered over another live shot of the city.
